Terms of use
Last updated: October 17, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Eagle Spirit Technologies Inc. (“we”, “us”) for using the BazaarSteps app and website. We wrote them to be read. Please read them with the Privacy policy and the Education disclaimer.
Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using BazaarSteps, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use BazaarSteps.
Who can use BazaarSteps
You must be 14 or older.
If you’re under the age of majority where you live (18 or 19 in Canada, 18 in most US states), a parent or guardian must read and agree to these terms for you. A parent or guardian who agrees is responsible for how the teen uses BazaarSteps.
Education only
BazaarSteps teaches how money and investing work. It doesn’t give financial, investment, tax or legal advice, doesn’t recommend any security or financial product, and isn’t a broker: you can’t trade or buy financial products through it. Examples and simulations are for learning, and they don’t predict what will happen. We don’t promise any financial result. Decisions about your money are yours; for advice about your situation, talk to a qualified professional. More in the Education disclaimer.
Your account
- You sign in with Apple, Google or a one-time code sent to your email. Keep your email and devices secure; anyone who can read your email can get a code.
- One account is for one person. Give your real age range.
- Tell us at contact@bazaarsteps.com if you think someone else is using your account.
Free and Pro
BazaarSteps is free to learn with, with a daily limit on new lessons. Pro is an optional paid subscription with no daily limit.
When you subscribe through the App Store, Apple bills you, renews your subscription and handles cancellations and refunds, under Apple’s terms. Before you subscribe, the app shows the price, how often you pay and that the subscription renews automatically. It renews unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancel in your Apple account settings and ask Apple for a refund. Deleting your account or the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.
We can change what Free and Pro include. If a change makes Pro noticeably smaller, we tell subscribers before it happens, so you can cancel.
Our content
The lessons, text, pictures, the Tiko mascot, the BazaarSteps name and logo, and the app belong to Eagle Spirit Technologies Inc. or the people who license them to us.
We give you a personal licence to use BazaarSteps for your own learning. It isn’t exclusive, you can’t transfer it, and it ends if your account closes. Please don’t:
- copy, sell, publish or share our lessons outside the app;
- collect our content with bots or scrapers, or use it to train AI models;
- get around the daily lesson limit or Pro, or copy, change or take apart the app;
- try to break into or overload our systems.
What you send us
You send us very little: your answers, an optional display name, and problem reports, which are a reason picked from a list. Other learners don’t see your display name; if you’re 18 or older, you can choose to show it on a certificate you share. We don’t publish anything you send.
You keep any rights you have in what you send. You let us use it to run and improve BazaarSteps, as the Privacy policy describes.
A display name must not be hateful, sexual or threatening, pretend to be someone else, or contain links.
Fair play
Weekly leagues and any future features where learners meet must be fair and kind. Don’t use tools or extra accounts to get points, don’t harass anyone, don’t misuse problem reports and don’t break the law. If you do, we can reset points, remove you from leagues or close your account.
Your information
The Privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Your information is yours: you can ask for a copy or ask us to delete it. If BazaarSteps changes owners, the privacy policy’s rules apply.
Changes to BazaarSteps and these terms
We keep improving lessons and features, and we may change or remove some of them. BazaarSteps may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance.
When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change matters for you, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using BazaarSteps after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
Ending
You can stop using BazaarSteps and delete your account at any time.
We can suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the law. When we can, we warn you first and tell you why.
If we ever stop offering BazaarSteps, we tell you at least 30 days before, and explain how to get a copy of your information.
No guarantees
Finance reviewers check our lessons and we work to keep them accurate, but lessons can contain mistakes, and rules, rates and products change. BazaarSteps is provided “as is”, as far as the law allows, without guarantees that it will be error-free, always available or right for your situation.
Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for financial decisions you make or their results, or for indirect losses, such as lost profits. Our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or CAD 50, whichever is more.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights that consumer protection laws give you and that can’t be waived, including in Quebec.
If we disagree
Please write to us first at contact@bazaarsteps.com. Most problems can be solved quickly, and we try to answer within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the province or territory where you live and the federal laws of Canada or, if you live in the US, the laws of your state and US federal law. You can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
Other terms
If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. We can transfer these terms to a company that takes over BazaarSteps, subject to the privacy policy’s rules; you can’t transfer them.
These terms are also in French, Spanish and Persian. If a translation differs from the English, the English version applies, as far as the law allows.
